Election Information – Pursuant to the authority granted in Act 92 (2020) and Act 135, (2020) the Secretary of State’s office will be mailing the November General Election Ballot to every Active Registered Voter in Vermont.  This process will start on September 18th.  You may return your ballot by mail, drop box, in person or you may still vote at the polls on November 3rd.  The voting location in Braintree, on November 3rd, is 5379 VT Route 12A at the Braintree Town Hall.  If you have questions please contact me, Jessie, at 802-728-9787 x3 or braintreetownclerk@gmail.com.

There are still free masks available at the Braintree Town Office! One Mask per family member. If you have elderly neighbors, relatives or know people who can not make it to the Town Office during the posted hours, please feel free to come in and pick up a mask for them. The masks can be found at the left side entrance of the building from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday-Friday! If residents can not make it during this time frame, please call Janice at 802-728-9787, ext. 6 to set up an appointment.

“IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECENT AMENDMENTS TO VERMONT’S OPEN MEETING LAW, AND IN LIGHT OF THE ONGOING PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS, MEETINGS WILL BE HELD VIA CONFERENCE CALL.  YOU CAN ACCESS THE MEETINGS AT THE SCHEDULED TIME BY CALLING 802-210-4472.

  • As of Wednesday, September 9, the Town Clerk and Treasurer’s hours will resume a normal schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9am-4pm, or by appointment. When visiting the town office you must wear a mask and practice physical distancing. If you need to use the vault, please make an appointment, as the space is too small to allow for appropriate physical distancing. Thank you for your patience as we transition to “normal” business and please call 728-9787 if you have any questions.
