The Town Clerk and Treasurer’s hours have resumed a normal schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9am-4pm, or by appointment. When visiting the town office you must wear a mask and practice physical distancing. If you need to use the vault, please make an appointment, as the space is too small to allow for appropriate physical distancing. Notice to Braintree Voters

  • This year, Braintree’s budget and elected officials will be chosen by Australian ballot, as there will not be a traditional town meeting due to Covid-19 concerns.

  • If you wish to run for office, you must sign a “Consent of Candidate” form (no petition needed) and submit it to Jessica Brassard at the town office by Monday, January 25th so your name can appear on the ballot.

  • The Selectboard will hold a virtual question and answer session to discuss this year’s budget on Saturday, February 27th at 10:00 a.m. To attend this meeting, sign on to uberconference.com/braintreesbmotoole.  The optional dial-in number is 802-210-4472.

  • Voting will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2nd at the Braintree Town Hall.

  • Absentee ballots may be requested by calling town clerk, Jessica Brassard, at 802-728-9787×3 or stopping by the town office.

  • All absentee ballots must be returned to the town office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1st, or in person at the polling place by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2nd.
